Troop 500 B.S.A.
Boy Scouts of America Prepared for Life

Welcome to Scouting!

BSA Troop 500, founded in 1982, meets at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church in San Antonio, Texas. (Directions and Map)

Part of the Alamo Area Council, we have about 20 active Scouts organized into two patrols. Advancement is very supported in our Troop and many of our Scouts earn the Eagle Rank.

Troop Meetings normally begin at 7pm on the 1st, 3rd, and 4th Tuesdays of each month. We meet in a dedicated Scout Hut (Building 3) next to St. Christopher Hall on the church campus.

Camping is a big part of Scouting so we camp often, usually 8 weekends a year plus summer camp.

FundraisingTo help fund our activties we hold several Taco Breakfasts at the church, sell poinsettias at Christmas, sell Camp Cards, and participate in Wreaths Across America.
